Suspension Maxx is proud to introduce our Extreme Duty Sway bar links. Designed for lifted Dodge Ram trucks that do not use a sway bar relocation brackets. The Extreme Duty sway bar links are based off our original maxx link patented design but utilize a 33% larger and 50% stronger configuration for Lifted applications.
The higher roll center of Lifted 2500 & 3500 trucks puts higher dynamic loads on the stabilizer links. Having a strong sway bar link that can handle these extreme loads without breaking is critical. The Extreme Duty sway bar links are built for these conditions.

MAXXLinks SMX-1226 are engineered to directly replace the stock sway bar links on 2003-2005 Ram 4x4 2500/3500 including Mega Cab models. MAXXLinks Heavy Duty Sway Bar End Links are your solution to weak original equipment sway bar links. Instead of using a ball and socket design that is prone to rust and deterioration, we implement a rubber bushing that provides needed articulation without corrosion and premature wear. MAXXLinks remain tight and free of play much longer than the stock links, and they won’t rattle over bumps. Rather than frequently replacing your OE links, enjoy the cost efficiency of long lasting MAXXLinks.
MAXXLinks Heavy Duty Sway Bar End Links use thermoplastic/urethane bushings to perform better and last longer than the original equipment ball-in-socket design. Eyelet links are manufactured with ultra-high strength 4140 treated alloy steel and electroplated with yellow zinc dichromate for corrosion resistance. Shaft sections are made from drawn over mandrel steel tubing and grade 8 bolts for durability. SMX-1227 also features an extra heavy duty mounting links which are required for this application. Maintenance free MAXXLinks come complete with stainless steel washers and locking fasteners. MAXXLinks can be used as high-quality replacement parts or as a preventative maintenance measure.
MAXXLinks Heavy Duty Sway Bar End Links simply replace original equipment sway bar end links. No drilling is required. Installation takes just forty five minutes to an hour and is supported by the SuspensionMAXX Technical Support Program. SMX-1226 directly replaces Dodge part number 68001734AB. 100% manufactured in the US and covered under the MAXXLinks Limited Warranty.

Measure the sway bar end link from the center line of the lower mounting point to the centerline of the upper mounting point. Our links are built to the specific center to center measurements.
First select the link style you need based on your year make and model. Then add the desired measurement to the end of the part number. For example, if you need an 8-1/2 “ sway bar end link for your 2006 Dodge Ram 2500. The link style would be SMX-1226. The 8.5” version would be SMX-122685 or for an 8” version SMX-122680. We can build you a sway bar link for your RAM up to 12” Center to Center! Depending on your model Please verify the style of end link you need for your truck. Dodge has changed the sway bar links in some cases every two years and we have done our best to narrow the sway bar links down to the exact year make and model.
Lift kits often come with screw on extensions for your sway bar links or they use a drop bracket for the frame that allows you to keep the OE sway bar links. Most drop brackets are 2.0 -2.5” and also move the sway bar forward for additional clearance to the coil spring.
We experienced and had customers try the Adjustable Heim joint style end links and at first they are great. As the Heim joints wear over time they end up loose and noisy. No longer capable of keeping the sway bar firmly mounted to the axle.
Your sway bar should be on a neutral angle, parallel with the frame.
